man arrested in connection with robbery at Truist Bank in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was arrested in connection with a robbery at a bank in Raleigh on Thursday.

According to Raleigh police, officers responded to reports of a bank robbery at Truist Bank on Oberlin Road just after 11:45 a.m.

Police said a man went into the bank and handed an employee a note demanding money, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He then left the area in a vehicle.



28-year-old Nicholas Paul McLeod was later taken into custody by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. He has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
