A pop-up thunderstorm is possible in parts of the viewing area, mostly contained to the southern and eastern portions, and especially near the coast.
It is not likely that anything develops over the Triangle explicitly, but a storm could drift over our area from the south or east.
Looking Ahead
Thursday will be mostly dry and hot with temperatures near 90.
Wet weather is expected to return Friday through the weekend as a front stalls over central NC. Temperatures will also be in the 90s.
