She landed in Charlotte on Thursday morning. Her visit comes the same day President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19.
The 79-year-old, who is fully vaccinated and received two boosters, is taking Paxlovid, the White House says. He is experiencing very "mild symptoms."
Harris was with the president on Tuesday, but tested negative for the virus and will continue with her schedule as planned.
During her trip she plans to discuss investments in affordable and high-speed internet.

Harris will also meet with state leaders to discuss abortion rights in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade.
The vice president visited Charlotte back in December to discuss the President's infrastructure plan. She visited Durham back in March to discuss labor and jobs at Durham Technical Community College.
