Man stabbed in downtown Raleigh dies; suspect arrested

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man stabbed in downtown Raleigh on Tuesday night has died from the attack.

Raleigh police officers responded at approximately 11:20 p.m., to 214 South Blount St. and found the victim suffering from a stab wound.

He was taken to a hospital with significant injuries and later died.

Raleigh Police Department identified the victim as 25-year-old Shawn Stovall.

Quinton Andrews, 41, has been arrested and charged with murder, police said Thursday.

RPD also responded to a stabbing just before 5 a.m. on Hill Street, The victim had been stabbed in the leg but refused to cooperate with officers.

Earlier Tuesday, the Wake County Sheriff's Office responded to a stabbing that left a woman dead and a man injured on Ligon Mill Road in Wake Forest.
