Fayetteville Police say family of pedestrian killed located

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A pedestrian who was hit and killed by a car a week ago has died, and Fayetteville Police asked Wednesday for the public's help in finding her next of kin.

On Thursday, FPD said that thanks to the assistance, the next of kin for Latoya Renee Dixon, 29, has been found and notified.

Dixon died after she was hit by a vehicle on Jan. 10 in the 2000 block of Southern Avenue. She died at a hospital from he injuries.



Police said the driver remained at the scene.

Police have not announced any charges, but the incident remains under investigation.
