RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh businesses that don't serve enough food could soon lose their rights to outdoor dining.
City Council is looking into a proposal that revokes patio permits for local businesses that don't make at least 30 percent of their sales from food.
A petition to "Save the Patios" is now circulating online.
Many small business owners say taking away their permits will take away jobs and tax revenue for the city.
Council is expected to vote on the proposal on Tuesday.
