RALEIGH (WTVD) -- UNC system president Margaret Spellings only has six more campuses to visit on her statewide tour after Wednesday's visit to North Carolina State University.
Spellings spent the day touring NCSU's main campus along with Centennial campus.
Protesters at N.C. State were also on-hand, which has been the case at many of her visits to other state-run campuses.
Critics continue to be unhappy with her hiring. Spellings said she is concentrating on the upcoming legislative session.
"Number one priority of mine and the Board of Governors is the staff and faculty pay raise," Spellings told ABC11. "It's been a long time, and we're in a super competitive environment too. You can't run institutions without great people, and so we need some assistance there."
On House Bill 2, Spellings reiterated that non of the university's policies need to be changed.
