Nickelodeon brings 'Worldwide Day of Play' to Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Children's network Nickelodeon invaded Fayetteville Thursday for the Worldwide Day of Play.

Hundreds of kids joined Spongebob and Patrick and other television favorites at Festival Park for the event.

Kids crawled through tunnels and even got to play on a giant game board.

The goal of the event is to encourage children to get outside and be active in their community.
