DURHAM (WTVD) -- Eleven people were arrested and booked Saturday night after a protest in downtown Durham.
ABC11 was there as the demonstrators were taken into custody on Swift Avenue, in between the Durham Freeway and Main Street.
According to a post found on Twitter, the Durham protest was done in solidarity with the #MillionsMarchNYC.
The group met at 8 p.m. at the Walltown Recreation Center and then hit the streets.
Police say the protesters did not cause any damage or block any roadways.
The 11 people arrested were sent to the Durham County Jail to go before a magistrate.
Most of them were charged with impeding traffic and failure to disperse, some were charged with resisting and obstructing a government official, and one was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
