2 killed in Wake County crash

KNIGHTDALE, NC (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Highway Patrol says alcohol and speed likely played a role in a double fatal crash in Wake County.

It happened at Mial Plantation road at Major Slade Road south of Knightdale.

While the crash was discovered around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, troopers said it likely happened overnight.

The Ford Explorer ran off the road and turned over, partially ejecting the two men inside. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

Troopers have identified the dead men as 29-year-old Sean Desmone McKoy, of Knightdale - who was driving - and 27-year-old Randy Kent Norris Jr., also of Knightdale.
