FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Police Department says three people were hit by gunfire at a party in a home on Dick Street early Sunday. One person has died.
Officers were called to the address in the 300 block of Dick Street around 5:20 a.m.
Ivery Montreat Elliott, 34, was found dead at the scene. Brandon Alexander Siermons, 22, is listed in good condition at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Winfred Terell Lesane, 22, has been transferred to UNC Hospitals at Chapel Hill for treatment.
Detectives are working to learn what happened.
They said it appeared the home was being used as an illegal "shot house", where liquor was being sold at all hours of the day and night.
