Authorities identify man found in a Franklin Co. field

FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities with the Franklin and Vance County sheriff's offices are investigating after a body was found in Franklin County.

The body was discovered in a field in the 5800 block of U.S. Hwy 401 North.

The victim was identified as 20-year-old Eddie Ronald Davis, Jr., of Henderson. Davis had been reported missing by Vance County authorities since early October.
