RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A building that's a place that the homeless are known to seek shelter collapsed in Raleigh late Wednesday night.

The one-story building is located at Branch and Blount streets.

It came down just before 11:30 p.m.

In a previous life, the building served as a bus station. It was built in 1939.

After the collapse, emergency workers searched the rubble and found no one inside.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
