RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police said a 21-year-old woman was fatally shot on Leesville Road Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the 7300 block of Leesville Road shortly after 1:50 p.m., where they found the woman. Police said no foul play was involved in the death, but they did not elaborate.
The woman's identity was not released.
Neighbors found all the activity surrounding the home deeply concerning.
"We were just sitting, watching TV, and we heard a couple of cop cars," said neighbor Adam Morton. "We looked out and the next thing you know, there are six or seven, and we saw three of them running into that town home with their weapons pulled out."
"I'm curious, and I am concerned for the people who live in that house," said neighbor John Balla. "To not even know what is happening is a little disturbing."
Balla said the couple who live inside the home has lived in the neighborhood for 10 years. He said they are friendly and are often seen walking their pet.
"They are just regular people. We've done things as a neighborhood together. And there's really nothing remarkable about them."
Police have not said if the victim lived in the home.
