Fatal crash in Johnston County

ZEBULON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was killed when he slammed into a power pole in Johnston County on Sunday, Highway Patrol said.

Troopers told our crew on the scene the crash happened in the 1200 block of Highway 39 in Zebulon. The crash reportedly knocked out electricity for several hours in that area.

Troopers believe speed was a factor in the crash.

The dead man was identified at 22-year-old Sheldon Rayshawn Baker of Middlesex.
