Fatigued driver slams into Raleigh house

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Highway Patrol troopers said a tired driver ran off the road and slammed into a house on Yates Mill Pond Road early Sunday morning.

It happened just after 7 a.m. The truck crossed left of center, ran off the road and through a grape vineyard, and struck a house.

Authorities said the driver was fatigued but not impaired. The driver, who was not identified, did not have to go to the hospital.

No one else was in the truck and no one inside the house was hurt.

There is damage to the house and the troopers said the truck is a total loss.

There's been no word on possible charges.
