Fire destroys Wake County home, forces evacuations

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Several people were forced from their Wake County homes late Sunday night when a fire destroyed a nearby residence.

The fire broke out around 11:18 p.m. at 208 Madres Lane in Morrisville.

The home was unoccupied, but part of a multi-unit building.

About five units were evacuated on either side of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The Red Cross will be assisting displaced residents.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
