Fire forces out some Brier Creek apartment residents

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A fire at a Brier Creek apartment complex gave some residents a scary wake up call early Wednesday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. at the Preserve on Laurel Coach Way.

The blaze started in the breezeway, but was quickly put out.

Officials are investigating what caused that fire.
