6-week-old boy from Chapel Hill drowns near Myrtle Beach mall

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WTVD) -- A 6-week-old boy from Chapel Hill drowned late Saturday night in a pond near a mall in Myrtle Beach, WPDE reports.

Horry County officials identified the boy as King Khalil Jair Alexander. The pond he was found in is near the Tanger Outlets on Highway 501.

The Horry County Police Department is investigating.

No other information was released.
