Johnston County man, 64, found dead in creek

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Johnston County man was found dead in a creek near his home on Saturday night, authorities said.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office said Edward Lee Johnson, 64, had gone fishing near his house on Banner Elk Road near Benson on Saturday.

A family member found him dead in the creek later that night.

Authorities have not released a cause of death.
