Man shot to death in Warren County
ARCOLA, NC (WTVD) -- Warren County Sheriff Johnny Williams says a man was shot to death just before 9 p.m. in his Arcola home Saturday.
It happened in the 22-hundred block of NC Highway 43.
Williams said deputies got a call for help after two men entered the home, hit one of the tenants on the head with a gun, and shot 31-year-old Daniel Perez Martinez in his bedroom. A third tenant who was asleep at the time was not hurt.
Martinez was employed by the Arcola Lumber Company, which is located next door to the home and also owns the property.
Sheriff Williams said his detectives are working with the State Bureau of Identification to identify suspects.
