DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest after they found a man dead outside a residence in the 3400 block of Glenn Road Saturday evening.
Deputies were responding to a possible breaking and entering call. Upon arrival, they found 36-year-old Jose Luis Delatorre stabbed to death in the backyard.
Sunday, deputies arrested Delatorre's neighbor, Enfren Ernesto Caballero-Martinez, and charged him with Delatorre's murder.
During the investigation, detectives discovered Caballero-Martinez, 26, had a dispute with the victim prior to the stabbing.
Caballero-Martinez is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary. Detectives also charged Caballero-Martinez with two counts of assault for assaulting Delatorre's wife and 16-month-old child during the altercation.
Dellatore's wife and child were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
Caballero-Martinez is being held at the Durham County Detention Center.
