Possible human remains found in Goldsboro

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities are investigating after possible human remains were found in Goldsboro on Friday.

Police said the remains were discovered in the 1700 block of Holly Street. The Criminal Investigations Section responded and the investigation continues.

The remains were sent to the NC Medical Examiner's Officer for confirmation.

No further details were released.
