HENDERSON (WTVD) -- Henderson police were called to the Vance County Courthouse around noon Tuesday after security officers reported shots being fired in the parking lot.
By the time police arrived, the suspects had fled the scene. They were reportedly driving a green Chevrolet Prizm and a green Jeep.
The Vance County Sheriff's Office told ABC11 no one was injured and that police recovered some gun shell casings.
According to the Associated Press, Bianca Terry and two friends were standing outside the courthouse when they witnessed a fight between two men escalate into gunfire. Terry says she saw one man punch the other, who responded by pulling his gun and firing at least five or six shots.
A Henderson police spokesman did not return AP's message seeking information about who was being sought in the shooting.
