Skateboarder killed in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police say a man on a skateboard was killed Saturday morning when he rode into the path of a pickup truck on Holloway Street at Spruce Street.

It happened just after 8:30 a.m.

Police said 23-year-old Shamus Reilly was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators said Reilly failed to yield the right of way. The accident remains under investigation.
