Spring Lake murder suspect captured

SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Spring Lake police say they've arrested a Fayetteville man in connection with a fatal shooting in July.

Thirty-four-year-old Jerri D. Davis, aka "Tweet," is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Cary Terell McLean.

The police department and sheriff's deputies were called out to a shooting in the 400 block of D Street around 1:30 a.m. July 19.

Authorities say McLean, 30, was found dead in a front yard.

Police believe the shooting was related to an argument between McLean and an acquaintance of Davis.
