A Subway restaurant employee was shot twice in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Subway restaurant employee was shot twice in Fayetteville Friday night.



Police said the person was taking out the trash through a back door of the business on Cliffdale Road when they were jumped by someone waiting out back and a struggle ensued.



The employee was shot during the struggle. The wounds are not believed to be life threatening.



The gunman ran through the back door and grabbed the cash drawer and then ran out the front.



Police were searching for the suspect. Authorities said the suspect was dressed in a dark hoodie, with the hood pulled tightly around his face, a blue mask, dark pants, and light shoes.
