WENDELL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fire officials responded to the scene of an intense SUV fire on Sunday in Wake County.
The Wendell Fire Department told ABC11 two people were driving on Wendell Boulevard with they noticed smoke emitting from their vehicle.
Soon after they pulled off to the side of the road, the SUV was completely engulfed in flames.
Both occupants got out of the SUV in time. EMS was called to assist with breathing issues, but no one had to be taken to the hospital.
Wake County fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze.
