Troopers take down motorcyclist from bike to end chase on Creedmoor Road

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- There was a dramatic end to a motorcycle chase in northern Wake County Wednesday afternoon.

A motorcycle was being chased by troopers on southbound Creedmoor Road. The chase went past N.C. Highway 98.

Video from an NCDOT camera showed the chase ended just north of Interstate 540 near Beechnut Trail.

Troopers tackle motorcyclist to end chase on Creedmoor Road

The motorcyclist attempted to go around slower traffic when a trooper tried to pull him from the motorcycle and another pushed him off the bike. He was then taken into custody.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.

There's no word on charges against the motorcyclist or any injuries.

It's unclear what started the chase.
