School raises over $1,000 for family of boy killed in Wilson's Mills crash

APEX, N.C. (WTVD) -- An Apex middle school is rallying around the family of a fallen student.

Trevion Daniels, 13, died in a car crash in Wilson's Mills earlier this month.

A counselor at Lufkin Road Middle School says the staff raised over $1,000 to help pay for his funeral.

The family's been struggling to find money to cover the costs.

The family is asking anyone interested in making a donation to send a check to Chappell's Funeral Home. The address is 555 Creech Road, Garner NC 27529.
