RALEIGH (WTVD) -- People lined the streets in downtown Raleigh and Fayetteville Saturday to pay tribute to the men and women who served to defend our freedom.
In Raleigh, the parade ended with a ceremony on the capitol grounds. ABC11's Tisha Powell was the emcee.
In Fayetteville, the theme for this year's parade was 'Honoring our World War 2 veterans: The Greatest Generation." The parade featured more than 100 participants.
Gov. Pat McCrory was also in the Fayetteville parade.
