OAKLAND, Calif. -- Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout is out of the lineup for a second straight game with upper back stiffness.
Trout says he feels better than he did Saturday when he was a late scratch but is still "a little bit stiff."
Manager Mike Scioscia says Trout might be available as a pinch-hitter Sunday against Oakland and will hopefully be back in the lineup Tuesday when the Angels open a series at Houston.
Trout is batting .294 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs this season.
The Angels also could get slugger Josh Hamilton back this week. Hamilton is expected to join the team in Houston and could be activated Tuesday for the first time since tearing a ligament in his left thumb sliding headfirst into first base April 8.
