LONDON -- The Detroit Lions will be without two of their biggest stars on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium as Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush are inactive.
Johnson practiced all week after missing the last two games and last two weeks of practice for the Lions recovering from his high right ankle sprain. He initially injured the ankle in Week 3 against Green Bay and aggravated it in Week 5 against Buffalo.
He said earlier this week he thought the decision on his status would come down to Sunday right before the game.
In five games this season, he has caught 22 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns.
Bush sprained his ankle in Week 5 against Buffalo and missed the following week against Minnesota. He returned last week against New Orleans, but aggravated the injury during the game.
He practiced Wednesday, but missed Thursday and Friday's practices.
Bush has 49 carries for 171 yards and a touchdown this season along with 25 catches for 164 yards.
Replacing Johnson will be a combination of Corey Fuller and Jeremy Ross. Joique Bell and Theo Riddickwill be counted on to replace Bush.
