Clayton Kershaw is human after all.

The Los Angeles Dodgers' ace had his streak of scoreless innings pitched end at 41 in the sixth Thursday night against the San Diego Padres. Kershaw's streak is the third-longest by a Dodgers pitcher since the team moved to Los Angeles in 1958.

Padres third baseman Chase Headley ended the streak with a solo home run on a 1-2 count. He had struck out and popped out in his first two plate appearances. Entering the night, Headley was 10-for-48 with zero home runs in his career against Kershaw, according to ESPN's Stats & Information.

It was just the fifth home run allowed by Kershaw this season.

Kershaw's string of scoreless innings was the longest single-season streak by any starter since Brandon Webb in 2007 (42 straight), according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Orel Hershiser owns the major league divisional era (since 1969) record with 59 consecutive scoreless innings.

Kershaw last yielded a run during the third inning of his June 13 start against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
