Duke freshman Frank Jackson will sign with an agent and remain in the NBA draft.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski announced Jackson's decision Friday, saying his "combination of athleticism and fearlessness makes him a special player."

Jackson announced last month that he was testing the draft waters, but left the option open to return to school for his sophomore season. He recently was projected as a second-round pick by ESPN.com.

Jackson averaged 10.9 points and 1.7 assists in his only year with the Blue Devils.

The 6-foot-3 Jackson played a secondary role behind Luke Kennard and Grayson Allen this past season, but was expected to move into the starting lineup with the departures of Kennard, Matt Jones, Jayson Tatum, Amile Jefferson and Harry Giles.
