Funeral services for ESPN anchor Stuart Scott to be private

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Private funeral arrangements are taking place Friday for ESPN anchor Stuart Scott.

Scott will be remembered in Raleigh where his family still lives.

A viewing for Scott is Friday at Providence Baptist Church on Glenwood Avenue, and the funeral is set for Saturday at the same location.

Scott was an intern at ABC11 and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill before making his mark at ESPN.

In lieu of flowers, Scott's family is asking people donate to The V Foundation. Every cent will go toward lifesaving cancer treatment research. Click here to donate.
