Duke safety Jeremy Cash is out indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, the school announced.
The redshirt senior is coming off a 111-tackle season for the 9-4 Blue Devils. As a captain in 2014, Cash racked up 10.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
The 6-foot-2, 206-pound Cash earned second-team All-ACC honors this past season, a year after earning first-team all-conference honors.
Duke starts spring practice Friday and will hold its spring game Feb. 28.
