LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas NHL team has hired former Cleveland Cavaliers executive Kerry Bubolz as team president.
The team announced Bubolz's hiring in a news release Monday.
Bubolz spent 13 seasons with the Cavaliers and the Quicken Loans Arena organization, serving as president of business operations. He also served as president and alternate governor for all teams owned by the Cavaliers Operating Company, including the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League, the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League, and the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League.
Bubolz previously served as vice president of sales for the Carolina Hurricanes and in senior management roles with the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League.
The Las Vegas NHL franchise, which has yet to be named, will begin play in the 2017-18 season.
