NC State assistant coach released from hospital, recovering

RALEIGH, N.C. -- North Carolina Stateassistant men's basketball coach Rob Moxley is out of the hospital and recovering at home from an unspecified medical issue, the school said Wednesday.



In a statement, the school said Moxley was released from Rex Hospital on Monday evening after making "significant progress" in his recovery from an emergency medical condition.



The school has not revealed the reason for Moxley's hospitalization, citing privacy for the family.



The 46-year-old Moxley has been an assistant under NC State head coach Mike Gottfried for four seasons. Moxley was previously an assistant at Middle Tennessee State, Charlotte, Maryland, Pfeiffer and Gardner-Webb.



N.C. State is coming off a second trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 in four seasons.
