NCAA grants NC State QB Ryan Finley extra year of eligibility

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State quarterback Ryan Finley has received an additional season of eligibility by the NCAA.

The university announced the NCAA's decision on Tuesday, making Finley a redshirt sophomore this season. He will have two more years of eligibility after this one.

Finley redshirted atBoise Statein 2013 and played in just three games for the Broncos last season before suffering a season-ending ankle injury. He graduated from Boise State in three years and transferred to NC State in the spring.

He was listed as the co-starter along with redshirt sophomore Jalan McClendon on the depth chart released Tuesday.
