RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Stuart Scott's legacy will continue through The V Foundation.

It's establishing a new fund to honor Scott's memory.

Private funeral services were held Saturday in Raleigh for the longtime ESPN anchor.

He passed away earlier this month, after a battle with cancer.

He was a champion of cancer research, always making appearances at The V Foundation events in the Triangle.

ESPN's initial $100,000 grant will help support scholars and cancer research.
