Emil Michael, Senior Vice President of popular ridesharing app Uber, received criticism after BuzzFeed reported comments Michael made, suggesting to dig up dirt on journalists who were critical of the company, Today, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick offered a lengthy, 13 message apology on Twitter over the comments allegedly made by Michael.
Kalanick's apology did not comment on Michael's current employment status with the company. Claims have surfaced of women who were harassed by their Uber drivers, including an intoxicated woman who was allegedly kidnapped by one of the app's drivers in Los Angeles this past June.
