OXFORD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Traffic was at a standstill near Oxford after an accident and fire involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 85 Monday afternoon and evening.
It happened at mile marker 196 around 3:30 p.m.
Witnesses said the tractor-trailer clipped another truck that was parked on shoulder. A tire came off and sparked gasoline in the truck to catch on fire.
Troopers said two people suffered minor injuries.
The highway fully reopened around 9:30 p.m.
