RALEIGH (WTVD) -- An accident left a section of Raleigh without power for over 12 hours on one of the coldest days so far this season.
The accident happened around 11:20 p.m. Sunday when a taxi cab hit an utility pole along the southbound lanes of Blue Ridge Road near Reedy Creek Road, not far from Rex Hospital.
It is unclear what caused the crash, but the incident knocked out power in the area for over 100 customers.
