Tanker truck overturns near Hope Mills

HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) -- All lanes of Hwy 87 were shut down near Hope Mills Tuesday after a tanker truck overturned.

Pictures from Chopper 11 HD showed the cab of the truck upside down and foam sprayed on the ground to control fire.

The crash happened around 6 a.m. near Sand Hill Road. The highway reopened Tuesday afternoon.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash or any injuries.
