Must-See Weather: Big waves hit Hawaii

HAWAII: RECORD SETTING WAVES MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT

Giant waves are slamming into a highway near Honolulu, moving large boulders onto the roads, making travel difficult. Police there were forced to close a twelve mile stretch of the highway. Beach officials say this is the largest swell they have seen in a decade. But it's not all bad news... surfers are having a blast riding the large waves as they move near the shore.

NEW PHOTOS OF RECORD SETTING CYCLONE RELEASED

Photos just released by NASA show Tropical Cyclone Winston which slammed into Fiji as a Category Five cyclone over the weekend. Tropical Cyclone Winston is the most powerful storm on record in the Southern Hemisphere. Video from Fiji shows complete destruction. Trees are uprooted, roads are blocked, and houses are left without roofs. Residents packing up whatever belongings they could salvage from their demolished homes. A state of emergency is in effect for 30 days as the cleanup continues.

SEVERE STORMS SLAM INTO THE DEEP SOUTH

It could be a day of risky weather in the Deep South as well. Strong storms moved into Texas overnight, dumping large hail, heavy rain, and strong winds near San Antonio. Multiple tornado warnings have already been issued. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk of severe weather for Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama as the system moves east.
