Raleigh's July 4th Fireworks Presented by ABC11 didn't disappoint

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The City of Raleigh changed the location of its July 4th Fireworks display. This year, it will be held at the stadium complex around the Lenovo Center and Carter-Finley Stadium.

The move could mark the beginning of a new tradition as the area surrounding the Lenovo Center is set to undergo a $1 billion transformation into Raleigh's Sports and Entertainment District.

The celebration was more fireworks-focused. Unlike the previous years at Dix Park, there was no Deejay, vendors, or festival activities.

Gates opened for parking at 6 p.m., and the 20-minute fireworks show started at 9:30 p.m., and it didn't disappoint.

ABC11 was once again the official media sponsor of Raleigh's July 4th Fireworks Celebration and hosted our annual one-hour live show on all platforms.
