Authorities investigating shooting reports in Wendell

WENDELL (WTVD) -- The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible shooting in Wendell overnight.

Authorities received reports of shots fired on Edgemont Road, near Privette Road and Woodtrace Drive.

A home in the area was blocked by police tape, but officials have not released any details surrounding the incident.

A portion of Edgemont Road is closed as the Wake County Sheriff's Office investigates.
