FBI: Suspect in jewelry store robberies caught

JACKSONVILLE, FL (WTVD) -- The FBI announced that a suspect in multiple jewelry store robberies across the southeast has been arrested.

Abigail Lee Kemp, 24, was taken into custody on Friday without incident in Smyrna, Georgia, the FBI says. Officials say one other person was arrested as well but due to the ongoing investigation their identity has not been revealed, officials.

One of the robberies Kemp is accused of is at a Jared Vault in Mebane, N.C. on Jan. 4. Authorities say she entered the store with a gun and forced the workers into a back room and tied them up.

The FBI is still investigating and encouraged the public to provide any information that may help.
