Student's choice of yearbook picture with cat and lasers denied

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WTVD) -- A high school student is gathering signatures on a petition after his yearbook photo submission was denied.

The picture Schenectady High School student Draven Rodriguez wanted to use is a glamour shot with his beloved cat Mr. Bigglesworth.

Pink and blue lasers are also in the photo.

The upstate New York high school student said he wanted his senior photo to stand out, but the school said no.

He's now taken to internet petitions to get support to have the portrait included in the 2015 yearbook.
